NEW LEGACY NUMBERS PAGE

With many new players joining our Senior Mustangs Representative Program in 2023, BMTA is pleased to launch a page dedicated to showcasing our Opens, Seniors and Masters players and their legacy numbers. In line with our Strategic Plan, at BMTA, we strive to foster a culture that develops and supports our people to build a lifelong connection between our people and affiliate. Our legacy numbers are an accolade earned by our Senior Mustangs players when they are selected to represent the BMTA Mustangs at a Senior State and/or National event.

For those who have not heard about BMTA's legacy numbers, players are assigned a unique legacy number the first time they are selected as a Senior Mustangs representative. This tradition began in 2018 with the re-establishment of Queensland State Cup and is a significant representation of BMTA's Opens, Seniors and Masters history. All Senior Mustangs representatives are presented a free off-field polo with their legacy number before their first event.

BMTA's first Senior Mustangs representative is BMTA life member and past Board Member John Clark (# 1). For many years, John has helped establish and grow BMTA's Wednesday Night Masters Competition and helped curate our first State Cup teams in 2018 with the re-establishment of the Queensland State Cup. BMTA are proud to say we had over 220 players represent Senior Mustangs in the first couple of years of the program. As of the Championships 2024, we have now assigned 582 legacy numbers.

With a huge Junior Mustangs Program, earning a Senior Mustangs selection and legacy number is a fantastic goal for young players who are aspiring to be a Mustang for life.
