Chairman's Address
Dear BMTA Members,
As we close out another great year of touch football, I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank all our BMTA management, players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and supporters for what has been a wonderful year of successful and enjoyable competitions. Your commitment, sportsmanship, and passion for the game are what make the BMTA community so strong.
As we take a short break before the new season, I would also like to gently remind everyone of the importance of looking after your health. In particular, heart health is something we should never take for granted. We encourage all members to be proactive, listen to their bodies, and consider regular health check-ups ahead of the upcoming season so that we can all return to play safely and confidently.
Looking ahead to 2026, there are several exciting developments planned for the association:
-
We are progressing with the implementation of a 50’s competition (and maintaining the existing 40’s competition), designed to give our older players the greatest possible opportunity to continue playing and enjoying the sport in a supportive and appropriate environment.
-
New light pole upgrades will be implemented in the mid-season 2026 break. While this will result in a slightly shorter season overall, it represents a significant and long-term improvement to our facilities that will benefit all members.
-
The introduction of the one-fee model, aligning BMTA with the payment structures of both TFA and QTF, will simplify registration and create greater consistency across the sport.
We are very much looking forward to the year ahead and to continuing to build on the strong foundations of our association.
Thank you once again for your contribution to a fantastic year. We wish you all a safe, healthy off-season and look forward to seeing you back on the fields in 2026.
Kind regards,
Corey Nolan, Chairman
On Behalf of the BMTA Board and General Manager
