BOARD OF MANAGEMENT
Corey Nolan - Chairman
Corey has been actively involved in touch football as a player, coach and parent for more than fifteen years including, more than seven years at BMTA and also served on the board from 2021.
Outside of sport, Corey has more than 25 years’ experience as public company director and has been previously involved in the Not-for-Profit sector. In addition to formal business and economic qualifications, Corey is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Corey’s aim is to bring his passion for the game and broad range of business skills to assist building and positioning the Club to capitalise on the huge growth being seen in touch football Australia wide.
Leeanne Bauer - Secretary
Leeanne has been involved in Touch Football for over 30 years and has been an active member of the Brisbane Touch Football community for over fifteen years, as a player, parent and coach.
Leeanne is active on the Queensland Secondary Schools Touch Committee, Brisbane City Cobras Board and has coached and managed teams at regional, Queensland and national level.
Leeanne brings a range of skills that she hopes will bring improved outcomes for all members.
John Clark - Treasurer
John has been involved in Touch for over 40 years as a Player, Coach, Referee and Administrator. He has been involved at BMTA since 1994. He has been a previous Committee Member of BMTA including Committee Member, Vice Chairman and Chairman (2005/2006).He has been instrumental in establishing BMTA’s 30’s and 40’s Competitions and also the successful Mustangs Masters program.
John is an experienced Senior Manager who started his own company growing it to be the third largest privately owned Recruitment Company in Queensland.
He has successfully held roles as National Sales and Marketing Manager, General Manager and Managing Director and participated on a number of Advisory Committees and Boards.
John’s passion is to grow the Mustangs Masters program and maintain the involvement of all age groups. He believes BMTA is and should be at the forefront of growing the Masters program across the Touch Community.
Doug Mackie - Board Member
Doug Mackie has been involved with BMTA for close to 15 years, he began as a player and more recently has transitioned into a referee. Doug achieved his level 6 referee accreditation in 2021 and is one of BMTA’s leading referees. Doug has also worked as a referee coach at BMTA and regularly commentates Metro Cup and other State/National competitions.
Outside of touch, Doug has an extensive finance and banking background, his strong corporate background combined with his extensive history at BMTA and involved with the sport ensures he has plenty to offer in his Board capacity.
Bernadette Hanna - Board Member
Bernadette Hanna and her family have had a long involvement with BMTA, her children have played at BMTA and in the Mustangs program for many years and husband Blair plays in the Masters competition at BMTA and for Mustangs.
Bernadette currently works at the Department of Education as the Executive Director of the Education Futures Institute and bring plenty of business skills and knowledge to the BMTA Board.
