Michael Saxby


Michael has been involved in sport as a player, manager, coach and executive for over 30 years. He has been involved with rugby union, touch football and football and is a former Chairman of Football Ipswich Inc. Michael has been involved with BMTA as a parent for three years.

In addition to his sporting experience Michael has formal qualifications in business and is experienced in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, project management, development approval and financial management.

Michael brings a range of skills that he is confident will ensure the successful operation of BMTA for the benefit of its members. 



Leeanne Bauer


Leeanne has been involved in Touch Football for over 30 years and has been an active member of the Brisbane Touch Football community for over fifteen years, as a player, parent and coach.


Leeanne is active on the Queensland Secondary Schools Touch Committee, Brisbane City Cobras Board and has coached and managed teams at regional, Queensland and national level.

Leeanne brings a range of skills that she hopes will bring improved outcomes for all members.

John Clark


John has been involved in Touch for over 40 years as a Player, Coach, Referee and Administrator. He has been involved at BMTA since 1994. He has been a previous Committee Member of BMTA including Committee Member,  Vice Chairman and Chairman (2005/2006).He has been instrumental in establishing BMTA’s 30’s and 40’s Competitions and also the  successful Mustangs Masters program.

John is an experienced Senior Manager who started his own company growing it to be the third largest privately owned Recruitment Company in Queensland.

He has successfully held roles as National Sales and Marketing Manager, General Manager and Managing Director and participated on a number of Advisory Committees and Boards.

John’s passion is to grow the Mustangs Masters program and maintain the involvement of all age groups. He believes BMTA is and should be at the forefront of growing the Masters program across the Touch Community.

Kate Spranklin

Board Member

Kate has been involved in Touch Football at BMTA for the last 20 years.


Some of the positions Kate has held are, player at local and national levels, coach, manager, staff member, volunteer and referee with BMTA. Along with these positions, Kate is also a state and national level Referee Manager.

Kate wishes to bring her experiences and passion for Touch Football to help develop BMTA.

Corey Nolan

Board Member

Corey has been actively involved in touch football as a player, coach and parent for more than fifteen years including, more than seven years at BMTA.

Outside of sport, Corey has more than 25 years’ experience as public company director and has been previously involved in the Not-for-Profit sector. In addition to formal business and economic qualifications, Corey is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Corey’s aim is to bring his passion for the game and broad range of business skills to assist building and positioning the Club to capitalise on the huge growth being seen in touch football Australia wide.
